Dr. Joey Salgado
PT, DPT, MLC

Co-Founder & Physical Therapist · Body IQ Alchemist

Dr. Joey co-founded Progressive Motion, and his fingerprints are on its entire philosophy of care. He works with high performers who live with intention and set ambitious goals, but who keep running into chronic mobility issues that hold them back from moving the way they want to. Often these are hard workers who've simply never been handed a clear framework for understanding, and unlocking, their own restrictions. That framework is what Joey provides.

His goal is to raise a client's "body IQ": to turn them into a curious, informed student of their own body, capable of moving through their journey with freedom rather than fear. He's candid about the nature of that journey - it isn't linear, and you are not your diagnosis. Building real skill and performing at your best takes patience and grace, and Joey's role is to be, in his words, the connective tissue between where you are today and where you want to go.

His methods reflect a systems-based mind. He uses DNS- and PRI-influenced breathwork to improve body positioning and access, then integrates cupping therapy with movement training so the gains carry over into real performance. He most often helps clients with chronic lower-back and knee pain, and he has a soft spot for younger athletes committed to building both mind and body through the process. More than anything, Joey is a hope dealer. He expands what people believe is possible for their movement life, brick by brick.

Outside the clinic, he's spending time with his wife and pitbull Bailey, playing ball, and making memories with family.

"Day one or one day - your choice. I want to be part of your journey and the connective tissue between where you are today and where you want to go."
